the finely chased decoration with many design elements recognizable as Thomire; the baluster stem with sphere bearing outside gallery and twelve branches; dressed with interlacing down-chains of cut-glass oval prisms from upper crown to gallery; the candle pans and gallery with skirt of fine ‘icicle’ pendants.
Thomire worked in Paris between 1800-30 and was appointed premier bronzeur to the Emperor. Circa 1820, and restored.
