Large French classical design gilt-bronze Lantern after Beurdeley:
of cylindrical shape with four glass panels divided by tapering hardwood pillars; the four cartouche surmounts with tied ribbon bows and laurel garlands; with four curved struts to swagged top corona;
Late 19th Century, restored and rewired.

The coloured photo shows a very similar lantern in Le Salon de Compagnie du Petit Trianon Palace of Versailles. The two black and white photographs show a very similar lantern at the Beurdeley stand at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair.
