Pair of early 19th Century French gilt and tôle-peinte Sinumbra Lamps:
the urn-shaped lamps with scrolling handles, ribbing and leafy classical detail on a pedestal base. Known as ‘Sinumbra’ because the matt glass shades diffuse the light, casting no shadow.
The reservoirs with label ‘BURDEL a LYON’. Circa 1830, restored and supplied with shades.
