German ten-light gilt and glass Chandelier in the manner of Schinkel:
the scalloped gilded frame with anthemion mounts alternating with ten candle-cups, dressed with down-chains of cut glass ‘oval’ prisms and three graduated fringes of ‘icicle’ pendants and long pointed finial.
Circa 1800 and restored.

A very thin layer of gold applied to brass or bronze.

'oval' prism
