Pair of green Bohemian Lustre Candlesticks with white overlay:
with top petal edge and stylised leaf pattern to base; painted with gilt borders and fine foliate design; with top frieze of cartouches handpainted witth individual ladies’ portraits interspersed with floral bouquets; dressed with cut-glass ‘Albert’ pendants named after the Prince Consort.
Circa 1880, and restored.

'Albert' pendant

A long cut-glass pendant particularly popular in the Victorian period, hence the homage to Prince Albert. These can be straight or tapered and cut with various designs.
