Pair of octagonal mirrored Jardinières with Spencer Family crest:
the mirrored panels interspersed with narrow glass pillars lifting the flat base; restored and the zinc-lining painted.
Provenance: Althorp, Northants. Bought by John Poyntz, 5th Earl Spencer, ‘The Red Earl’, and photographed at a grand banquet in the 1880s at Dublin Castle.
