French gilt-bronze and cut glass six branch ‘Cage’ design Chandelier:
the frame dressed profusely with variously shaped plaquette pendants
and rosettes; bearing tall spire ornaments and faceted ball finial; note
the dark colour to most glass.
Circa 1850-60, restored and prepared for electric wiring.

'plaquette' pendant

French pendant of a flat form with many variations of shape. Often called 'slabs' they can be moulded or cut glass; typically used on the French Cage design chandeliers.

Cage
