Pair of small Georgian Lustres with spiral cutting:
the baluster stem with spiral cut centre ball; the base and pan finely cut with fan pattern; dressed with set of ‘double-star’ prisms and ‘icicle’pendants. Circa 1820 and restored.

Georgian

Covers the reigns of the four King Georges of England between 1714 and 1830. Simplicity, harmony, symmetry and airiness were characteristic of the period, which overlaps with Regency. See Adam's style.

'double star' prisms

Round cut-glass prisms with star-cuttings on both sides. One of the finest of prisms, generally used on Regency and later chandeliers by Perry & Co.

'icicle' pendant

Tapered cut-glass pendant with multi-facetted cutting, in the shape of an icicle.
