Baltic or Russian style gilded and cut glass eight candle branch Chandelier:
the gilded frame with highly decorative frieze of floral motifs and basket-of-flowers surmounts; with eight scrolling candle branches issuing from flower and anthemion mounts; suspended from upper corona on four pierced chains set with cut glass cabochons; dressed with graduated chains of facet-cut glass oval prisms, alternating with ‘icicle’ pendants to centre ‘pinecone’ finial.
Circa 1830, marked ‘P Cronin A Grenoble’, and restored.
